Artist statement
Through the manipulation of set Building and Photography my work takes on a critical view of human conditioning; it dives further into self-assessment of how we consciously or subconsciously project ourselves in the world as well as on to others. I strive to create work that addresses the human psychological and social constructs. I am consciously spotlighting and daring the observer to see and confront their own internal thoughts and emotions. I am an Installation artist and photographer who documents in spaces which in turn self-directs others to enter the work. I build sets that the work inhabits and I change the space to make new narratives. Though the end product of my work often manifests itself as a photo, however building sets and installations anchors my work, which in turn create the narratives and motivations in the work.
