Artist statement
As an artist, I try to take an interdisciplinary approach to art. I work in different media and from each I try to draw inspiration and gather experience. I work with film, design visual arts and illustration. However, I do not translate my activities directly into each of these fields. I try more to develop my sensitivity, workshop and observation skills. I am particularly interested in combining abtract and narrative elements, as well as combining analog and digital techniques. That is why my works appear in both the digital and analog worlds. With all this, I try to create my own visual world, stylistically referring to illustration and street art, wondering where in the world of contemporary art there is a place for this type of activity. In the age of information overload and digital content, we are losing our personality. We are being outdone. We become a pattern, clumped together from random elements devoid of individuality. We also lose our emotions, which we often don't know how to express by hiding behind colorful content. As an artist, I also try to define illustration as somehow a medium that is on the border of art and design. I ask myself where is its proper place?
