Artist statement
Mohnish is a self taught visual artist and poet. Exploring his abstract thought process since his initial days in design school. He started understanding mediums to make artworks that evoke emotions and thoughts, stories that explore the human mind and life. His narratives break away from realism or structure, often letting one interact with shapes that cater to an unknown realm of abstraction. A combination of strokes (hard & soft), words and shades, he builds narratives that are quite open to interpretation. His belief- When one interacts with artworks so abstract, without the bias of a preformed narrative or structure, one often goes deeper to build meaning around the artworks or words. Such is life, there is no set narrative. Everyone understands and explores life as they interpret it. That’s the beauty abstraction brings along. That indeed is what makes life beautiful!
