Artist statement
Whether my paintings lean towards to naturalism or circumvents it, they are a means to work through my experiences of people and places. I try to make sense of the nonsensical by accepting the importance of mistakes, and try to learn how to not completely let go of my disappointments in order to harness their energy to positive ends. For these reasons, their conception is the product of lengthy reflection and research.
