Artist statement
Artist Statement — Nataliia Muzychenko My work explores the space where inner mythology, memory, femininity, and transformation meet. Drawing is a meditative process for me. I work primarily with ink on paper, building each image slowly through thousands of lines, patterns, symbols, and ornamental details. I do not begin with a complete narrative. The image develops intuitively, revealing itself through the process of drawing. My visual language is influenced by mythology, Japanese aesthetics, Art Nouveau, and the symbolism of different cultures. Human figures merge with animals, plants, fabrics, weapons, masks, and imaginary creatures. These elements do not illustrate a particular story; together they create a personal mythology in which beauty and danger, vulnerability and strength, stillness and movement coexist.
