Artist statement

My practice is rooted in interdisciplinary, research-based inquiry across moving image, objects, writing, and artist publishing. I draw on overlooked and inherited histories often rooted in the eastern Mediterranean and its diasporas, tracing how bodies, landscapes, and objects are made intelligible through systems of naming and representation.
