Lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine
Artist statement
In my works and projects, I work with the themes of local history, which is reflected in the visual perception of the environment, and I also work with the landscapes and landscapes that surround us. Intertwining these themes creates a basis for my conceptual projects. I am interested in turning to personal or local stories, because global processes can be followed through their example. The main constituent elements in my projects and graphic series include: rethinking of Ukrainian visual stylistics (decorative painting, embroidery, engravings), materials from family and personal archives (photos, letters, reproductions), working with the landscape directly in the natural environment. The main media in which I work are graphics on paper, printing, artist's books and zines. Exhibition projects also include installation and video art.
