Artist statement

Series in which I address the problem of plastic waste where, since 70% are not recycled, they are buried, reflections of an absolute disinterest and ignorance of authorities and users, unfortunately we are the majority. Now we have a floating island, a plastic continent among other names that we give it located in the North Pacific with a dimension of more than 700,000 meters. squares that is damaging life. Scientists around the world especially Europe discovered plastic particles starting in 2016, the European Food Safety Authority warned of a risk to health and food safety "given the potential for contamination by microplastics in edible tissues of commercial fish". Like research on various water tributaries and bottled beverages, the list goes on and on. • Brands based on successful advertising systems, slogans, have made us believe that we are better, a higher class, even more knowledgeable specialists, by consuming “brands”, without assuming any kind of environmental awareness or responsibility. They manipulate us thanks to the lack of culture that we suffer from Latin America is one of the main affected, but phenomena such as China, or countries with socialist regimes by changing their system and ideology have been exploited and invaded by consumerism, largely the desire to change and improve, mistake. And let's not mention capitalist and consumerist countries, he has no idea of ​​their affectation, perhaps it does not matter to the majority, perhaps.
