Artist statement

I paint intimate catalytic color paintings. These are about heat, love and passion. These gestural abstractions move rhythmically. I use color, line, and texture that range from delicate and soft to vigorous and exuberant. Dynamic cycles span from calm to explosive, containment to eruption. Vibrant resplendent colors in varying thick and thin paint reflect transformations from nature’s quiet to turbulence and catharsis.
