Artist statement

"My artistic practice revolves around pushing the boundaries of mixed media techniques, infusing fresh life into traditional textile arts. At the core of my work is a profound exploration of the interplay between nature's resilience and the enduring impact of historical and environmental events on human experiences. I create pieces designed to evoke mystery and intrigue, each concealing narratives that invite viewers to explore deeper meanings and moments of reflection. My distinctive approach lies in seamlessly merging tradition with a contemporary context. I meticulously recreate intricate embroidery-like techniques using unconventional materials such as paper, pins, and beads. I also venture into weaving-inspired approaches, redefining textile arts and pioneering innovative techniques within the art world. My artistic journey is deeply molded by the expertise and heritage found in specialized ateliers. Drawing inspiration from these wellsprings of craftsmanship, my ambition is to achieve a similar level of mastery."
