Lives and works in Paris, France

Artist statement

Philippe Mermi explores the movement and interaction between space and symbol. From the use of a simple line, he develops a visual language where interaction, movement and space intersect, where lines and symbols cross and then meet to create a sense of eternal harmony and balance. His Art also conveys energy via the artistic interaction of brushed metal, mirror, wood, rope, rubber, LED which characterize his Work. The majority of these materials are recovered from construction sites or from the street.
