Lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, USA
Artist statement
I explore the complex nature of memory—how it shapes our human experience and becomes intertwined with compulsive, Sisyphean tasks. My work examines how memories, often intangible and mysterious, are stored in the body and expressed physically. Each piece reflects the ways mental health challenges can alter and distort our sense of self, impacting how we experience the world. Inspired by the layered and embodied nature of both memory and compulsion, these sculptures serve as vessels—holding recollections, obsessions, and fragments of identity. They celebrate the body as a powerful archive of lived experience. Like the myth of Sisyphus, the works evoke repetition, struggle, and a lack of resolution, echoing the relentless cycles that define so much of our inner lives.
