Lives and works in Bern, Switzerland

Artist statement

I am constantly trying to modify and update my work in all its aspects, making it a constant channeling vehicle for the codification of art in connection with social processes. I have developed my own artistic language in the conception and at the same time my sometimes playful representation has a certain rigor due to the graphic structure of the works. When I develop an idea for a piece of art, I spend a long time researching until I find exactly the right technique, materials and format for the presentation. I have high demands on my work and "file" long on it until I am satisfied. My works have always reflected my life and my personal impressions from everyday life. In my early work often has hidden messages about the difficult circumstances of life. In recent years I have been preoccupied by the worrying development of our society and our unchecked consumer and throwaway mentality and the resulting environmental problems. All this makes me very concerned. Again and again I incorporate small allusions to our ambiguous social norms and absurdities, which often only come to light at second or third glance. I invite the viewers of my artwork to dive into the world of everyday details and look at the supposedly familiar with different eyes.
