Artist statement
Keeping the fragility of paper cutting as a primary medium of exploration, I started my art practice exploring the beauty of chaos in South Asian cities, how the city acts like a carnivorous plant devouring its subjects who are continually attracted to it irrespective of the chaos it has to offer. These explorations on paper soon turned into an inward journey of self discovery as a subject who is always roaming between cities. The quest now is more about the chaos inside and the attempts to find how the beauty of balance is achieved by one in life. This is where my primary practice of paper cutting shifted out to new materials and techniques.
