Sasha Ercole
Lives and works in London, UK
Artist statement
Sasha Ercole (b. 1998, Texas, USA) is an interdisciplinary artist based in London. Working across installation, performance, moving image and programming, Ercole’s practice explores methods of standardisation and measurement, examining how power is inscribed through bureaucracy and forms of corporate governance. Currently her research focuses on the relationship between theatre, law and finance, looking at the study of history as choreographic composition. She has been the recipient of grants from the Arts Council England and Statens Kunstfond. In 2023, she completed her MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, followed by a research fellowship with Professor of Art Writing, Michael Newman. She holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Sculpture and Linguistics. Since 2024, she has held a position as Director of The Perimeter, a non-profit contemporary art institution in London.
