Artist statement

Artist Statement - "Intuition and without prior sketching, mystical creatures and mystique are organically created. Spending an abundance of time in parks surrounding herself with and absorbing the energy and vibrations of nature, the artist observes inspiration closely in the creatures that inhabit this world; as she translates this in the form of canvas. Music festivals are a place she observes the clouds. A feeling of euphoria overcomes her as she goes along her day and life with the creatures of this world following in the form of various insects, birds, and things of various characteristics along with divine energy." Painter,photographer and a collage maker. She also likes to paint on shoes.She studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and completed her BFA in Fine Art with an emphasis in Painting/Drawing. She studied with Professor Tony Phillips , Judith Geichman and Senior Art critic of New York Magazine Jerry Saltz in Chicago & New York . Her focus primarily exploring The Dream course and Abstract Expressionism.Soon after she moved to New York City. She worked at the New Museum of Contemporary Art . After her time in NYC she moved to San Francisco. She studied Graphic Design at The Academy of Art College of San Francisco. Having been brought up in a multicultural background of Swedish/Columbian ; Art History,Theatre and Music have been a dominant influence. Her family introduced her to travel abroad at an early age.
