Artist statement

I am exploring variations on the theme "Structures and Improvisations" through structured shapes containing a buildup of lines and brush strokes. The free lines and brush work within delineated fields provides the non-verbal, reflective mind with a place to wonder, investigate, relax and balance energies. Textural illusions emerge revealing connections to textile art, sculpture, dance movements and graphic arts. The visual experience is fulfilling and rewards repeated encounters.
