Artist statement

My artistic practice explores how perception shifts as forms, images, and materials move between different states. Working across ceramic sculpture, drawing, found materials, and installation, I create forms that resist fixed identities: a shape may suggest both body and landscape, while surfaces recall skin, wood, or geological formations. Botanical, geological, and bodily structures become points of departure rather than subjects to represent. Through cycles of observation, making, and re-seeing, I investigate how recognition is constructed and how one form can alter the perception of another. Resemblance becomes a way of connecting seemingly unrelated things without making them the same.
