Artist statement
Artist profile As an artist my forte lies in Embroidery and Surface enhancements. I try to variate with several techniques in my artwork to create charismatic outcomes. Hand embroidery is a dying art that is conventionally seen only in apparel and fashion accessories. However as an artist, I practiced the use of an undiscovered art form in my pieces. Being an artist I am constantly on the hunt for new inspirations, ideas and concepts which brings me reason to travel and discover the world. For me, creating art is like creating magic in so many ways. The needle is my brush and the fabric is my canvas. Sewing is my passion and doing hand embroidery is what pushes me to create and come up with new ideas. Every time I pick up the needle to sew, not only do I make the piece I am working on beautiful but also conceptualize simultaneously what my next piece of art in going to be like.
