Lives and works in Oxnard, CA

Artist statement

My paintings explore the quiet emotional histories carried within relationships and domestic spaces. I am interested in how ordinary rooms, familiar objects, gestures, and the physical distance between people can become repositories for memory. In Safekeeping and Reunion, connection is expressed less through narrative than through presence. The figures inhabit spaces shaped by shared histories—places where protection, familiarity, belonging, and memory coexist. These paintings are part of my continuing exploration of interiority and the ways identity is formed in relation to others. Home, in this work, is not simply a physical setting. It is something accumulated through people, routines, objects, and remembered experience—the quiet structures that hold us and that we carry with us.
