Artist statement
My artwork analyzes themes of complex webs of human relationships and histories in a wide range of artistic expressions, from painting to installation and performative gestures. It is an exploration of possible interpretations of a contemporary posthumanist ontology that offers itself as an alternative to the current approach in the Anthropocene, drawing a line of escape in the form of unexpected assemblages of matter, ideas, and data. It is posthumanist theory that shows that the problem all along has been "human" as a category, an ideal, an assumption, a norm. This is why I exploit and accelerate the tendency to take on different, often unexpected forms. Incompleteness, mutability, uncertainty of purpose are some of the adjectives that not only describe my artwork, but also suggest the possibilities of the development of the posthuman situation itself.
