Lives and works in Madrid, Spain

Artist statement

My lines of work could be defined as an open place to dialogue using different expressive layouts to enhance my ideas. My pieces of work stand in a personal and profound conceptual speech, about the limits of language, collective and individual identity, memory , resilience, the infinite repetition of patterns , pain and passion, along other themes, and interconnected, it allows me to speak humanly about the human being. I primarily use photography as a record and as a medium of those ideas, although drawing is key for search of connections and generator of thoughts among other artistic disciplines such as installations, painting or visual arts… All of them coexist interlacing a personal narrative discourse beyond the boundaries of categorization by styles. My work cannot be understood from artistic categorization, but from connection and dialogue of multiple mediums, searching for expression to the ideas. Most of my photographs stand from audiovisual performance methods or installations carried both in enclosed or open spaces. The performative character of my work is key to understanding it and it is a dimension of myself in the act of expressing myself and of expressing the uncertainties that threaten us from the contemporary dystopian-utopian dimension , as human beings in search of connections and relationships with the others or the otherness.
