Artist statement

My work concerns the process of searching through the act of making. I use conventional languages of painting and found/industrial materials as a springboard for questioning my own habitual associations to recognizable imagery and form. In doing so, I seek to develop new, emerging meanings that neither proclaim nor insist, but invite multiple subjectivities.
