Lives and works in China

Artist statement

My practice engages with the sensation of transience — moments when ordinary objects, gestures, and fragments of daily life shift into an indeterminate state and undergo subtle transformation. Working across painting, printmaking, and three-dimensional works in wood and paper, I bring together utensils, bodily organs, human limbs, natural elements, and technological devices, allowing them to collide and merge into ambiguous, incongruous hybrid forms. These forms unfold as an uncanny choreography in which bodies operate like tools and tools become emotional extensions. Through this interplay, tension and humour emerge simultaneously, pointing towards a latent desire for the elemental and the instinctive, beyond language. Underlying my practice is an ongoing inquiry into relationships: how connections are formed between people, nature, and objects, and how things might exist beyond the limits of naming.
