Artist statement

Zuzanna Kozłowska (b. 1997, Poland) is a visual artist living and working between Warsaw and Paris. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she studied in the Lithography Studio at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Wojciech Bąkowski’s Poetics Studio at the Faculty of New Media Art. She is currently completing the Advanced Module at Funen Art Academy in Odense, Denmark, 2026. She works with objects and sculpture in which meaning emerges through direct encounter rather than representation. Her practice focuses on scale, distance, and bodily presence, treating the artwork as something that exists in continuous relation to the viewer and surrounding space. Drawing from everyday objects, interior elements, and architectural structures, she transforms materials to reveal their quiet narrative and poetic potential. Kozłowska also co-runs Rififi, an independent exhibition space in Warsaw. Her recent solo exhibitions include Willa lakiernika at BGSW in Słupsk (2025), Cafe Manekin at Galeria Promocyjna in Warsaw (2025), and Wiatrołap and W słońcu at Turnus Gallery in Warsaw (2023). Recent group exhibitions include the 11th Young Triennale in Orońsko (2026); Afgang at Funen Art Academy, Odense (2026); Have seen that woman? at Ping Pong, Copenhagen (2025); Innocent Sorcerers, the Grey House Foundation Competition Exhibition in Kraków (2025); unpacking at Okay initiative space in Athens (2025); Moving Image at Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw (2025); The...
