Dana Morrison

Born 1986 in Springfield Mills, Pennsylvania. Lives and works in San Francisco, California.

2016 MFA, San Francisco Art Institute. 2010 BFA, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore.

"Dana Morrison's work evokes a bit of tension or horror vacui upon first glance, as the pieces are often singular and surrounded by empty space. However once the object’s structure, balance and form are recognized as working with the space rather than existing within the space, viewers make engage with the works with a sense of ease. By offering spaces that prompt viewers to channel underlying memories and emotions related to prosaic architecture and objects, Morrison is able to expound upon her own experiences through works that relate to her own occupancy of space."

Shay Arick

Born in Israel. Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

2014 MFA, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, Carolifornia. 2011 BFA, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel.

"Shay Arick examines the notions and origins of global violence and identity in a nuanced yet pointed manner. Arick’s work and research pulls away from mainstream bombastic rhetoric and allows viewers to examine and experience his work wholly, beyond simply a surface level aesthetic or overtly politically charged imagery. Arick’s work comes from a place of compassion and desire to understand the rationales of violence and aggression within global society while simultaneously offering pointed criticisms."

Brittany Watkins

Born 1989 in Carrollton, Georgia. Lives and works in Columbia, South Carolina.

2016 MFA, Florida State University, Tallahassee.

"Brittany Watkins’ manipulation of space and everyday objects of comfort successfully evokes both anxiety and curiosity. Building on memory, past experiences and the subconscious, Watkins creates an atmosphere for introspection into the mundane and casual tasks of an individual’s day-to-day. These highly saturated and all consuming installations act as reflections of an individual, treating altered objects as portraits drawing a balance between psychological and physical spaces."
