2004 MFA, University of California-San Diego. BFA, University of Arizona, Tuscon.

"Painting's intersection with, or re-construction inside of, textile and the unconscious aesthetics within everyday designs is what we pull from John Richey’s interests, one we appreciate as a way to bring to focus what tends to be invisible, aesthetically, in our everyday life."

"Consummate fans of the Material Girls, Rachael’s work bridges a rigorous sculptural practice in these pieces that seem like relics from the near past, stripped down here to a simplicity, casting bikini tops and short shorts in latex paint."
