Anna Sidana

b. 1960, lives and works in San Francisco, CA. 2020 MFA, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, CA.

"Anna’s work immediately caught my eye when I was looking through Foundwork’s platform. Her brushwork and color palette feel so alive—soft and hazy while totally full of movement. The paintings hover between abstraction and still life—the florals and landscapes are just perfectly blurred, sending you into a fantasy-like world. You can tell her painting is personal, pulling imagery and colors that resonate with her life and memories. I was amazed to read Anna came to her arts practice later into her life; her paintings are so sophisticated and thoughtful, you can sense the emotion in her work and how she is painting to connect with her family heritage and history."

Michelle Im

b. 1984. Lives and works in Queens, NY. 2008 BA, SUNY Buffalo, Buffalo, NY.

"I’m obsessed with Michelle’s work. Her ability to tell a story through ceramics is incredible. I look at her work and I want to know who are the figures she’s creating, and who is Michelle?! They carry such strength and vulnerability, you can tell each has their own story. I love how Michelle draws from Korean tradition, as well as familiar forms, to explore identity and belonging. There is something so deeply human about her sculptures—they feel tender and deliberate, each gesture, each detail, holding a layer of cultural history and personal reflection, all while maintaining such charm and whimsy!"

Matthew Cole

b. 1987. Lives and works in Queens, NY. 2010 BFA, Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA,

"I immediately fell in love with Matthew’s paintings! What drew me to his work was the way his spaces feel both totally mysterious and strangely familiar. There is something about each painting that feels slightly surreal and brings you back to that dreamstate, questioning whether this scene exists in real life or if it’s imagined. He’s testing perspective so subtly and thoughtfully. Even when the figures or settings feel fragmented, there is this warm familiar sense to his paintings—they are like memories you can’t quite place."
