Faysal Altunbozar
b. 1993, İstanbul, Turkey. Lives and works in London, UK. 2019 MFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL.
"I really enjoy Altunbozar’s play with material. In the artist’s sculptural practice, industrial rubbers and metals meet organic matter to reveal sensual undertones and buried lore. I'm interested in the way he mines histories of specific sites, extracting foundations of power and desire that the West was built on. In Altunbozar’s built environments we see the body's mark on the natural landscape, the limitations we have constructed with social and urban infrastructure and the possibilities for transgression."

Yoshie Sakai
b. 1970, lives and works in Gardena, CA. 2008 MFA, Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA. 1994 BA, University of California, Los Angeles.
"I was initially drawn to Yoshie Sakai’s work for its humor and low-fi video aesthetics. Her bold absurdist built worlds pull the viewer further into these constructed pop nightmare-fantasies. As someone who is also second generation, I related to spending countless hours watching soap operas, telenovelas, and daytime TV with my grandmother who did not speak English or Spanish but was nonetheless captivated by these fables. Sakai’s work captures the melodrama of identity and consumer culture."

Katja Farin
b. 1996, lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. 2025 MFA Candidate, Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, London, UK. 2018 BA, University of California, Los Angeles, CA.
"Katja Farin’s paintings act as joyous melancholic vignettes of the everyday. Though their palette is at times deeply vivid, the characters in Farin’s portraits express a deep sorrow and loneliness, perhaps an indescribable and surreal sense of longing and contemporary nihilism. The experience of looking at their work is a practice of empathy; it is an emotional experience. Through the intimate scenes of apathy and ennui, we are transported through fleeting and familiar moments whether they be real or daydreams."
