Sandra Baía

Born 1968, Lisbon, Portgual. Lives and works in Lisbon.

"Sandra Baía's large public works defy gravity as well as common sense. Powerful and to the point, her works remind us of the fragility of our existence and at the same time poking fun by distorting the reflection we see once confronted with her large mirrored steel works."

Matthew Brooks

Born Winnipeg, Canada. Lives and works in Montreal, Canada.

2019 MFA Candidate, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

"Matthew Brooks is tipping his hat to Ed Ruscha in portraying North American industrial architecture, especially that of gas stations and fast food joints. When you spend a second longer viewing the photographs, you notice the distinction of the contemporary landscape within the images, the eeriness and particularity of the structures itself, and you begin to settle in the theatrical discomfort it creates within you."

Angela Fraleigh

Born 1976, Salt Point, New York. Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

2003 MFA, Yale University School of Art, New Haven, Connecticut. 1998 BFA, Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts.

"Angela Fraleigh’s large scale paintings, in which borrowed figures from centuries past lie between the matrix-like abstraction remind us that nothing has changed for centuries; people are people with their worries, desires, sorrows, ambitions, mystique, and corporeal fragility."
