Minia Biabiany
b. 1988. Lives and works in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe
"Minia Biabiany is an artist whose practice encompasses sculpture, installation, video, photography, and drawing. Her work originates from the Caribbean, particularly the island of Guadeloupe, and addresses the ongoing effects of colonial violence and subjugation by the French government. Employing materials such as volcanic sand, local clay, and burnt wood, Biabiany is also interested in her relationship to spirituality and pre-colonial memories. Her works often connect spatially in immersive installations and her use of creole (Kréyòl Gwadloupèyen) in many of her titles acts as an important bind between poetic and political gestures."

Jonas N.T. Becker
b. 1982, Morgantown, WV. lives and works in West Virginia and Chicago. 2010 MFA, University of California-Irvine, Irvine, CA.
"In recent photo work, Jonas N.T. Becker uses very fine coal mixed with gelatin to create a pigment that coats the photographic tissue. Depicting former mining sites in the artist’s home state of West Virginia, the prints make reference to nineteenth-century landscape photography while also embracing the imperfections of their own process. Becker’s practice focuses on the impact that humans have had on rural environments, contrasting natural beauty with the devastating effects of resource extraction."

Suneil Sanzgiri
b. 1989. Lives and works in New York, NY. 2017 MFA, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. 2011 BFA, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD.
"Suneil Sanzgiri’s films combine archival footage with experimental film editing in multichannel installations. His practice is driven by researching archives of liberation movements and struggles of the Global South in the 20th century and defining a space where collective grief and memory can be shared. The solo exhibition he opened at the Brooklyn Museum in the fall of 2023 focused on the 450 year long Portuguese exploitation of Goa on its inhabitants and tragically resonated with the ongoing violations of human rights rooted in modern day colonial violence."
